Just had the car back to the dealers following a recall for a potential problem with the bonnet catch. Checking online with the VOSA website, the notification there suggested that it only applied to cars uptown 2015 model year. When I arrived at the dealer they said it had been extended to later MYs (ours is a late 2016). Essentially, there is a risk that the bonnet catch can crack and cause the bonnet to pop open. The remedy is to fit strengthening piece. Photos attached. Anyone else heard of this recall?
Yes, my (64) has had it done ages ago. It is now having the rear doors replaced due to corrosion. I only found out about it off this forum.
I am paying for the replacement of the rear disc brakes due to corrosion. The car has been in for repairs nearly as long as I have owned it.
Had mine done last week, bonnet (got a recall letter for this one) and 2 other things - software update and something else, dont remember what... - i bought mine this summer. Everything took an hour and 15 minutes...

Nothing, what is more, they didnt do a great job on adjusting the hinges (the bonnet was "too deep") and had to adjust during the next visit - also for free.
