Re: Fault Code P15A8

My citroen cactus Flair 65 plate has 51k on the clock. After warning light came on including warning to stop the car, the garage identified fault code P15A8 and warned that it was a major fault. Needed to put in new oil pump. Electovlave and solenoid valve. Total cost over £1700. Citroen aware of t...

Re: New owner-potential engine problem?

Take out an extended parts warranty I've seen this problem in my searches also the adblu tank is a common failure the pump on mine went just after the warranty ended. £800+ to replace because they will only sell with the tank attached despite the tank being ok. Urea warning light emissions fault, c...

Re: So what tyres are we all using?

I am driving quite happily on Chinese tyres at £50 each. They offer better performance than Goodyear offering a superb grip even on wet roads and on cornering. In my opinion, the longer I drive on them, only fools invest in the more expensive brands. The proof is in the pudding, if anyone wishes to ...

Re: New owner-potential engine problem?

Engine fault light back on this morning. Fault code P2202-Nox sensor circuit low-Bank 1. Any advice please? I had the same issue, NOX sensor (£250). The part needed an additional ECU download, the whole thing was expensive. Have a look at my bill. I have fallen out of love with my bloody expensive ...

Re: Engine fault. Please have engine repaired.

I had this problem on my C4 Cactus. I had a roadside call out which put the car through a diagnostic check and there were no engine faults found. Under warranty, the car went back to the dealer. It was a faulty sensor unit. I was reassured and told it was ok to drive. New sensor unit was ordered an...

Re: Fallen out of Love with my Cactus

43,000 miles and £1000's and the bills are never ending. Bloody ridiculously expensive car to keep running. In the 4 years I have owned it, it has cost more to keep running than my Xantia, Xsara Picasso and C5 combined. My cheap service at 43,000 miles has cost another £1000. Even the new wiper bla...

Re: Ideal treads.

My front tyres are beginning to thin a bit (at 4mm their almost gone and grip is at a premium at the front in the piss) So going to go for a front set of 215 x 60 x 16 B+B+ 68db. Asked my local tyre fitter and he says ` at the front thicker is better` ( I don't know if he means me or the treads. :D...

Re: 1st gear judder problems, normal ???

Clutch judder is an unbalanced clutch disc/clutch pressure plate or bevelled flywheel, and appears in most dry clutch applications whether manual or solenoid controlled gear boxes. This should not happen to a solenoid/ pre-select gearbox. So get citroen to look at it under your warranty. As it will...
