Re: Knowing what you know now..... would you buy a cactus ?
Yes! If this one disappeared from the drive I would get another but with brighter paint/bumps (I am all black) and leather seats with a the flex of a 60/40 split. But if mine does go from the drive then I would always miss my first Cactus.

B Post Rattle
I have a small intermittent rattle that seems to be in the passenger side B post. I have looked at the forum and didn't spot anything on this area...but plenty on rattles! I have listened with the window (front and rear) open and closed and had useful passengers holding bits of trim to try to identi...

Re: Alloy Corrosion
I took the car to a specialist and parked up next to the Astons, Bentleys and McLarens and had a chat with the owner. He had no doubts that this is just what diamond cut alloys do. Stone impacts nick the lacquer and moisture can get in and then the results appear over time. Just wear and tear. He wa...

Re: Alloy Corrosion
Two wheels now impacted, one may be due to impact (not kerbing) but the other seems to be moisture getting through the lacquer. Citroen said they would pay half...(they did replace one as that had appeared prior to warranty expiry) but it is still a hefty bill for a cosmetic issue and it is well out...

Re: Anti Corrosion Inspection? Rip off or not?
Bit late to the thread but when I had my car returned from its "final" Citroen service and first MOT I said to the delivery driver that I wouldn't be troubling him again now that the car was out of warranty. He suggested that it would be worth while to get the corrosion check if I wanted to keep the...

Re: Alloy Corrosion
The thread reference above is a different issue - see my attached picture. This is not kerbing, the mark is under the lacquer. I had one wheel replaced as I spotted this prior to my "final" service and this is another wheel. I have sent the pic to Warners Tewkesbury to get their view as clearly ther...

Re: High Pitched Whistling Sound at High Speeds
An additional filling strip, as illustrated above, was added at the three year service and I repeated the M40 trip that caused the issue before and all was quiet. So my experience to date is that the above TSB is a fix that will greatly reduce the issue and Citroen were happy to make an adjustment i...

Re: 82 or 108 HP?
Both cars are great, do get a Cactus.
The 110 is more powerful, more economical (mine says 50mpg with mixed driving) and tax is only £20 per year for 110, the 82 can't be much less! The 110 may be more to buy but I was sure it was worth it and didn't consider the lower powered option.

Re: High Pitched Whistling Sound at High Speeds
Last weekend, as I proceeded along the M40, the whistling was back...so that is despite the above "fix" being performed by the dealer. I noted the comment on the door being adjusted and will talk to the dealer as the car is booked in for its 3rd year service. I think the "fix" helped as it has been ...

Re: Using loads of screen wash???
Booked in for a service and I mentioned to the technician that there was no longer a low level warning on the washer. He thought that there wasn't one...but he also thought the rattle from the rear windows was due to the winding mechanism... He did know about the door paint issue.
