Re: GPS UPDATE

For those in a similar situation, I believe Citroen will only provide free map updates for 5 years after registration. After that you have to pay for it. From what I can find the earliest date free updates were offered was from 1/7/2015. So it looks as though early cars will have or will be rapidly ...

Re: GPS UPDATE

If you are able to download the Peugeot map updates you are half way there! All you need is a Java app which will provide you with an unlock code using your VIN and an .inf file data contained in your download. You can look for the Java app it's called generator.jar with Google, but if you get stuck...

Re: How to update maps

I'm wondering if you would be better to look for answers on a dedicated Citroen C4 forum like http://c4owners.org/

The C4 Cactus is an entirely different beast in as much a 2016 model wouldn't have connectNav but uses the SMEG system.

Re: How long is the corrosion warranty for?

Re the door corrosion issue. I had a conversation with the guy who handles warranty claims at my local dealer. I was given the impression that Citroen will honour door corrosion claims for up to 5 years after manufacture and this was separate to other corrosion claims. We've have some corrosion on t...

Re: Touchscreen firmware update?

I've just stumbled across this post and I am intrigued as to where you are able to download firmware updates? I know they are kicking about on the 'net but I'm fairly confident a dealer wouldn't endorse that as a reliable source to update the hardware. I had a subscription to the service.citroen.com...

Re: No heat out of the heater

I think the more likely explanation is a software glitch. At this time of year I would wager that the ambient temperature is high enough for some warm air to come through the heater even if the thermostat was open. I think I'm correct in saying the heating system in the Cactus relies on a motor cont...

Hi Rubik,

I had that just once on my now-traded Cactus 110 Flair; I parked it up for 30 minutes with the engine off, then restarted and it was then ok. Never had the problem again.
Same here. Not been a problem since
