Re: Engine stutter at higher Revs

Yep. I think it was something like 6 or 7 steps. This was in September 2018 and my warranty was due to expire in the December. I knew the whole thing would be dragged out till my warranty expired. Oh and from what I remember the oil and filter change would have been at a cost to me as they're servic...

Re: Steering wheel pulling to right under 30 mph

I had this problem. Ensure both tyres are of the same weight rating on same axle. I had tyres replaced when I bought the car and they put a 93w tyre on. The other side was 89v. Switched them round and car pulled the other way. Replaced the 93w with another efficient grip at 89v and it drove straight...

Re: Stutter under hard acceleration

I was one of the one with this issue on my 110 cactus. Repeatedly took it into the dealer (robins and day salford) they didn't have a clue what was causing it. I took their master tech out for a drive down the motorway with me, replicated the issue and he said to me 'I'll be honest, I don't have a c...

Re: Popularity of Diesel

I'm guessing a big part of this is due to the fact that diesels have been villainised in the media lately. That VW emission scandal a few years back was the kicker. Everyone realised diesels weren't as clean/good for the environment as the car companies lead us to believe. When I was looking at gett...

Re: End of the Road....

I too got rid of my cactus not long ago. Although under different circumstances to yourself. Constantly back and forth to the dealer for various faults. Decided to get rid before the warranty expires. I went for a Toyota C-hr hybrid which I've had for just under 2 weeks now and the difference in qua...

Au revoir

Hi guys. After a bumpy 18 months with my cactus I decided to sell her. Don't get me wrong I loved the car and was out cleaning it every weekend without fail but the last 2 month's were horrendous with countless dealer visits for the clutch and I had the 110 misfire issue that has been well documente...

Re: 82 or 108 HP?

I owned a 110hp and when it was sent into the citroen dealer for warranty work (numerous issues) I had the 82hp cactus on two occasions. In my opinion there's no comparison. The 82hp is slow, sluggish and nothing happens when you put your foot down. Put your foot down in the 110 and it throws you ba...

Re: Squeaking clutch pedal

I want rid. Arnold Clark have estimated what i deem to be a fair price but I'm wondering if they'd go into great deal with the vehicle checks. I.e would they take it for a drive or check things like the clutch?

Re: Squeaking clutch pedal

Got a call from the dealer today. They now think the noise is coming from the clutch. They want to take the gearbox out to check. Obviously a clutch is one of those where it may or may not be covered by warranty. If it isn't covered then it's £1000 if it is the clutch and I don't want them to replac...
