Re: Footwell and back ceiling lights installment

I think it was one from 307, but I am not absolutely sure. To geevo: I get your point, I myself would be suspicious also but since I really needed the light and did not wanted to buy another car, I had no choice. On the other hand you should really think twice to assume that someone (dealer for exam...

Re: SMEG version / technical docs for 2018 Cactus

I think the author meant the whole system hardware replacement not firmware upgrade. The newer Cactus has Bosch system and is called BOSCH PSA RCC A2 and A1. A2 is with satnav and A1 is without. Some information is there: https://fccid.io/YBN-PSARCCA100/User-Manual/Users-Manual-Technical-Passport-31...

Re: Rear door speaker installment

Hi and sorry for the late reply, it is summer and I spend most of the time outside. The black rubber pipes/sleeves must be there in every Cactus. The only thing that I can think of is when there is a Cactus without central locking. There must be wires running from pillar to the door to have central ...

Re: SMEG+ upgrade to Satnav

Hi, 1. I guess it is possible, there should be enough room inside. 2. If you do not want to drill holes then I would suggest to buy the rectangular indoor antenna from e-bay and install it to the back of the screen under the plastic cover. The antenna is small enough to fit under the cover, direct v...

Re: Rear parking sensors.

Aftermarket ones are no problem at all. Original ones are expensive to retrofit if you buy the parts from the dealer or not if you can get the parts and ECU from breakers. Original ones need to be coded to the car though in order to hear the beep and see the distance on the screen. Aftermarket ones ...

Re: Reversing Camera

Check out this thread, the car is Peugeot 308 but electronics are the same. Quite an effort and it is easier if you have original parking sensors already installed.

Re: replacing my touchscreen myself

No need to configure VIN. Only buttons are configurable (touch buttons that is). So if you have satnav and the screen comes from the similar car, it will work right away. If the donor car does not have satnav then the button needs to be configured to be present.
