Re: Interior lighting - has anyone added more?
It's not exactly what you were asking for but here's an idea if you like to keep it simple. I went for an easy solution which works really well. I have fitted footwell lights which are always on. At the moment only finished the front but already made up the fittings/wiring for the rear wells just ne...

Re: Self-Service Checklist
Sorry I don't have a link for you but just search for "M6 threaded panel fasteners" in your search machine or ebay and it will show up.RebelWaltz wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 10:29 amFreerangecactus, do you have links to the clips, cap screws and washers that you ordered? Thanks

Re: Self-Service Checklist
You most likely will find that the plastic undershield is difficult to remove, my car has been maintained by a Citroen dealer within the warranty period and found that they don't bother to replace badly rusted and mangled clips with new ones. (Or taking care not to rip the shield itself). I ordered ...

Manual gearbox oil change.
Hi All,
Just wondering when the oil of the manual gearbox should be changed, I can't find this in the owners manual.
I always use genuine parts and engine oil recommended by Citroen so would like to know what oil is recommended for the gearbox.
Thanks to anyone willing to contribute.

Re: Should ventilation system/fans work with ignition on?
It is normal for the Cactus, it has a energy economy mode which won't allow you to be able to use the ventilation system before starting the engine although it should be possible to use the system after a journey for a certain time (even to use the residual heat). When using the "ignition on" functi...

Re: engine oil
The manufacturer recommends "Total Quartz Ineo First 0W-30" for your type of engine. I been told by a Peugeot/Citroen mechanic that it's important to use the recommended oil specification. The Ineo First (5 liter can) is retailing for around £42 dose it matter if its 0w-30 or 05w-30? This is the vi...

Re: Whistle noise..
Thanks for your reply, I have replaced those filters a month ago. It's hard to explain in writing but I don't think the noise is generated by any obstruction in the duct system.
In this case the noise would have changed by variations in airflow but it seems stable regardless the fan speed.

Re: Whistle noise..
Yes I meant air condition, it's called climate control in my other car so that's where the mix up is coming from.
The sound only occurs when the air condition is activated whether on auto or manual low or full speed. It doesn't make any difference which air route is selected either.
