Re: 16 BlueHDi 100 - What's this in the engine bay?
It's called 'a pressure snorkel' Most post 2001 cars have them, and it looks like this one has been removed (as you say by someone's child :o ) Ask where you purchased it from. It may be a previous owner, who removed it (and the main airfilter assembly) as its only a long extention to the turbo and...

16 BlueHDi 100 - What's this in the engine bay?
Stock photo but can anyone tell me what this plastic box is officially known as please? iMarkup_20201123_112832.jpg It's part of the intake system but isn't an "air box" in my traditional understanding of the word or a "filter housing" - is it a resonator of some kind or something else? It would app...

Re: Roof Bars Genuine Citroen
Darn it, if I was slightly nearer (I'm in Leeds) I'd snap your arm off for these at that price.

Re: Glass roof
On a really sunny day if you put your hand on the inside of the glass roof it's hot, if you do the same on a conventional roof it isn't. My understanding is that the tinted / coated roof just absorbs the UV rays directly instead of allowing them to pass through into the interior of the car so in ess...

Re: General Engine Dysfunction
So I finally had chance to try and move this one forward and have an update. I found a local diagnostics place with Lexia (Auto Diagnostic Services in Leeds) and booked the car in with them. They carried out some initial checks and, in their words, "found faults in the engine ECU for additive ECU an...

Re: Air Con - Gas Type? R1234yf? / Air Conditioning Refresh
OK, next question - the air con was working perfectly yesterday. On Sunday when it wasn't the car needed fuel, Citroen wouldn't disable the air con to save fuel when the warning light comes on would they? I think it's doubtful. I had to do a 15 mile trip in our C3 on Monday when it was hot, and as ...

Re: Air Con - Gas Type? R1234yf? / Air Conditioning Refresh
Thanks for the replies and clarification, their use of the phrase "Air Conditioning Refresh" seems at odds with every other company doing air con work who tend to go with the more obvious "antibacterial treatment" that's generally an extra £10 rather than £30 more  I've had a couple of older ca...
