Re: Air Con - Gas Type? R1234yf? / Air Conditioning Refresh

OK, next question - the air con was working perfectly yesterday. On Sunday when it wasn't the car needed fuel, Citroen wouldn't disable the air con to save fuel when the warning light comes on would they? I think it's doubtful. I had to do a 15 mile trip in our C3 on Monday when it was hot, and as ...

Re: Air Con - Gas Type? R1234yf? / Air Conditioning Refresh

Which fluid you have will depend on the age of the car/. All cars manufactured from 1st January use the new fluid. The air con service is replacement of the fluid. It is not usually possible to top up. The system used removes all of the remaining fluid, does a vacuum test then refills. I don't know ...

The French aren't the only ones that have this kind of arrangement. Vauxhall cavaliers did, and my daughter's Fiat Panda has a similar arrangement.

As written in the Owner's Manual!
True, but many people come onto sites like this without reading the manual.

Re: stop start

Two minor points. For the stop/start to work, it isn't just being in neutral that allows the system to work. You have to put the car into neutral by using the clutch to disengage the gear. Over the years I have got into the habit of knocking the car out of gear without using the clutch. If I do that...

Re: Fault P15A1 - Low oil pressure?

Occasionally she does but would that not settle after 20 miles on the motorway? it was intermittent for about a week then Thursday is stayed on which caused the car to limp home (well, to a garden centre where she waited for the AA) It was also parked for 4 days outside the house flat, the Engine M...

Re: Fault P15A1 - Low oil pressure?

I doubt very much that any issue with a timing belt would have any bearing on low oil pressure. I have had a low pressure issue on my 1.2 petrol C3. In this case the car was parked on a steep up-slope. When I started the car I got the low pressure warning, and it didn't go away until I stopped the e...

Re: Electric rear windows?

Sorry, didn't mean to offend, but you did originally post as a South American C4. As it is a very different car to a UK/European spec, so it's unlikely many on here will be able to hepl.

Re: Electric rear windows?

I'm sure UK spec Cactus doesn't have wind-down windows. You refer to a C4. If it is a C$ rather than a Cactus you need to post here.
