They told me that even car insurance companies can take the key from a C4 and look for the km, last trave...

Re: Cover Cap for front towing hook off C4 Cactus

Completely agree, that does not look like a pearlescent paint, my last DS4 was pearlescent and my current one is the standard white, it looks like the latter. Pearlescent paints are a pain as you have the base colour, then the pealescent layer and finally the clear coat, mor layers (ie expense) than...

Re: Stop/Start selected but not working

Ring do a range of resonably priced smart chargers, I use the 4 amp version which cost £20 ish. It has programs for 12 volt and 6 volt batteries and has summer and winter settings for each. Very easy to program with only 1 button and goes into maintanance mode when charged. They will automatically d...

Re: Stop/Start selected but not working

Further - the DS3 'How to' is on the DS3 owners forum not here and the general procedures for the Cactus are very similar

Re: "Smart" battery charger

I can confirm the battery on an AGM smart charger does not require the battery to be disconnected. If a battery is diconnected you should go through the BSI reset procedure when reconnecting ( a few will rubbish this idea but it is recomended by PSA and reconnection without doing so can cause a numb...

Re: Stop/Start selected but not working

Thank you KAR for the link to the DS4 thread - that is in fact my own submission. Our DS3 is stop starting all the time with no issues as the battery was replaced a few months ago. Prior to that it didn't work for about twelve months at all although it started without any issues normally. The DS4 ba...

Re: Cactus 1.2 Manual Clutch Replacement

If you get no response here it may be worth looking at other cars which have this engine - C3 DS3 Peugeot 208 etc etc as there will be videos and texts on how it was done on those, as its the same engine and gearbox it may give you some good pointers

Re: Stop/Start selected but not working

Many things stop the s/s system working, the most usual is the battery. Most of the cars are fitted with an 096 AGM battery which is a powerful monster of a thing. 70ah and 760 cold cranking amps. But - these very high tech things have a limited life. In the case of my cars previously, DS4, DS3 they...

Re: Safety Notice December 2020

Interesting post Mike66. I get no adverts at all. I have Firefox set as my browser with Windows 10. I also have Norton 360. All have security settings high and set to stop 'pop ups'. I get no adverts popping up at all as a result with the only downside that the 'chat' button with my energy supplier ...
