Re: exhaust brackets

Just heard that my Cactus has failed it's first MOT ( a month short of it's 3rd birthday). The failure was due to a broken clip securing one of the front CV gaiters. But as an advisory Robins & Day (Hatfield) have reported a rusty exhaust bracket that needs rewelding. They said they would do it for ...

Re: Sat Nav

I can understand the logic of a proper external GPS cable...but those in my family who simply use Google Maps and Waze on their mobiles never seem to complain of loss of signal. Perhaps all that's needed is the aerial to be by the windscreen?

Re: Heater Stopped Working ?

Was on way to dealer anyway and they looked but it was working fine...never done it since in last 20 months Sounds like it's a hidden 'feature' ....keeps you on your toes, stops you getting ...

Re: Engine swap

Given the Citroen/Peugeot connection I'd say forget the small tweak from 110 to 131 and do it properly. Hunt down a written-off 208 GTI and swap as much as possible; engine, box, ECU etc. Brakes & wheels if possible. http://www.peugeot.co.uk/showroom/208/gti-by-peugeot-sport/ 1.6 litre and 208bhp. T...

Re: Touch Screen Update Done.

I think many of us have reported randomness in that area. Sometimes from cold the system will boot very quickly. Other times, as you say, it's too late and you are on your way before the logo/wallpaper has even cleared.

Re: Footwell and back ceiling lights installment

That's excellent and an inspiration to many of us who have been thinking of doing the same. LEDs use so little power so no problem taking it all from the front light. I think though i would use twin-cable (speaker wire) so all the earth connections can be back at the same point by the original front...

Re: Retrofits

Why play videos on the screen, surely you need to keep your eyes on the road? No mirror on the passenger sun visor for a good reason, there's a dirty great airbag behind it. No-one wants a 6" mirror pushed into their head in the event of an accident. My advice, spend your time and money on some addi...

Re: Winter Wax .......... Fusso Coat by Soft99

I'm also a fan. Seems expensive for a small tin but a little goes a long way. Follow the instructions and do one panel at a time, start to finish. Gives great beading. I'm happy to use the spray wash/polish bottles from the Pound Shops to freshen it up after a wash or if I've had to remove something...
