Re: Front wiper blades fixed price

I bought some genuine Citroen blades via this ebay shop - www.ebay.co.uk/str/Wingrove-Parts - £31 delivered. When they arrived the little nozzle for the washer on the drivers side blade had snapped off in transit. I gave them a call and, no quibble, they sent me a replacement by UPS. The chap I deal...

Re: Special edition or custom?

Bolt-on customising - urghh.
But if it were debadged, lowered on larger (18"+ ) rims, without silly studs, four tail pipes and sill bumps, and wrapped or painted in stealth matt black or charcoal grey they could be on to something...a sheep in wolf's clothing - almost.

Re: Brake pads - Do these need changing ?

So reading this thread again I can see that John had an issue with getting the right pads. As it turned out, so did I as the ones that John used were the same part no.s as what I had purchased but would not fit. My guess is that cars with vented discs have (obviously) different calipers that take a ...

Re: Front discs and pads

Whilst fitting my new coated discs noticed that the area up and behind the front springs has no explicit rust protection, just the factory grey that is also found in the engine bay, boot floor etc. rather than body colour. I therefore took the opportunity to give everything a good coating of Dinitro...

Re: Front discs and pads

Interesting to see in John's Youtube video that he has vented discs. Our 1,2 82hp Cactus has solid discs.

Re: Steering wheel pulling to right under 30 mph

We had this a while back. On a scheduled Citroen service I raised the issue as could be covered by warranty. I had already paid out for the tracking to be checked (all was fine) and swapped tyres around with no effect. Although Citroen didn't share with me the exact details my understanding is that ...

Re: Brake pads - Do these need changing ?

Not been on this forum for a while - a sign that all has been well with our Cactus, a mid 2015 model now on 42,000 miles. A squeal from the front has prompted purchase of new discs and pads. Comline branded via ebay for £44 delivered. Cheap I think because the Cactus uses parts that are common over ...

Re: exhaust brackets

Just heard that my Cactus has failed it's first MOT ( a month short of it's 3rd birthday). The failure was due to a broken clip securing one of the front CV gaiters. But as an advisory Robins & Day (Hatfield) have reported a rusty exhaust bracket that needs rewelding. They said they would do it for ...

Re: Sat Nav

I can understand the logic of a proper external GPS cable...but those in my family who simply use Google Maps and Waze on their mobiles never seem to complain of loss of signal. Perhaps all that's needed is the aerial to be by the windscreen?

Re: Heater Stopped Working ?

Was on way to dealer anyway and they looked but it was working fine...never done it since in last 20 months Sounds like it's a hidden 'feature' ....keeps you on your toes, stops you getting ...
