Re: Anyone Got phone Calls from Dealer about deals ?

They want you in ASAP so that you don’t go elsewhere for a new car - there may be ‘a deal’ but there are no specific deals. We’ve just gone past the end of a quarter (June 30th) so July isn’t an especially good time to buy a car unless they have stock rolled-over, better off seeing what September ho...

Re: stop/start

Stop start was removed from the manual diesel in 2016 - it automatically activates and each time you start the car you need to actively turn it off - if you don’t need to do this then you don’t have it.

Re: Is it possible to lock a C4 with the engine running?

I don't think it is, the emergency services do it all the time. They don’t - they have the facility to turn the key and remove it but leave the engine running, the car won’t drive though. As for legality, it is illegal on a public highway to leave your car running unless you are stationary in traff...

Re: Is it possible to lock a C4 with the engine running?

Some cars have this feature but it’s activated by removing the key (typically requiring a separate button to be activated or by turning the key to a different point on the barrel before removing it) which then stops the car being driven off as the key is not in the ignition - Citroen’s don’t. It’s n...

Re: Temperature Control

On the ventilation screen you should see a box at the top left that says ‘AC’ on it - this is air conditioning and needs to be turned on (a small blue line will appear above it), cars with climate control have a box at the bottom left that says ‘Auto’ on it. If you don’t have a box that says ‘AC’ th...

Re: Loss of engine power and auto gear box not changing gear

The DPF warning would come up if it was that

The ‘Italian tune up’ method can work - floor it then change up to second at the Rev limiter, it sounds like your clutch needs to be recalibrated so this would be my first suggestion and if it doesn’t work then take it to a dealer for recalibration

Re: Air con question

Citroen’s only have the one fan - when you turn your Air Conditioning on the engine fan turns on to cool the compressor which is why it can be quite loud

Re: Citroen Recovery / Breakdown Cover

...I've been buying separate breakdown cover for the past 2 years not knowing I had this already, seemingly free of charge... As you probably appreciate, it’s not free but paid for as part of the finance deal - whether manufacturers insist to ensure the cars they get back are properly covered, as a...

Re: Towing

The tow limits for the Cactus are very low so you might struggle to find people who tow with one that can assist you - as you say 500kg doesn’t cause you a plated weight issue but with the 82bhp version performance will be marginal to say the least, if towing reasonably regularly or in a hilly area ...

Re: Time for change, testing and feedback from you

I got a call today from our local Citroen dealer. It seems Citroen Finance have "occasional offers" and my name popped up - probably so much bull, but I'll play along. Anyway they can offer me some deal if I want to chop in my car early (about 10 months). Apparently its easier for them to sell a 2n...
