Re: POOR DAB RECEPTION & FADER??

So, ive fitted a windscreen ribbon type aerial with the correct FAKRA connector. Although the connector didn't quite fit right, I had to snip away some of the plastic where the locking spring clip is. It then fitted snugly over the connection on the rear of the unit. However, there is now no DAB si...

Re: Removing Rip Curl decals

Thanks Jonovich, and for anyone else: the hair dryer worked a treat on the semi-transparent decals. The area just needed a good clean with methylated spirits after to get the remaining gunk off (still work in progress). The car is a 2016 and the condition of the duco under the decals is seamless. F...

Re: Mpg reading

Hello All So I just picked up a new Cactus Flair this afternoon and a splendid thing it is. Have only driven it home so far and the dealer gave me a very good vehicle handodver but I forgot to ask how to navigate into where I find ongoing MPG. I assume its part of the Citroen Connect system. Can an...

Re: Warning Noises when turning sharply

Had a puncture yesterday and it may be unrelated bit since that point I keep getting a warning beep if I turn sharply or say turn round in our cul de sac. Have made sure tyre pressure calibration has been reset. Anyone got any ideas before I have to reluctantly take it to the garage? TIA :D My unde...

Re: Upgrade Cactus 2017 with SMEG5 to SMEG6 / NAC with Carplay

I think there could be a problem trying to use with a unit which uses the series 6 software/ firmware : Looking at this posting https://www.cactusforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=3092 which discusses fitting a SMEG unit with 5 series software, in the posted text below the second picture, the follow...

Re: POOR DAB RECEPTION & FADER??

Standard aerial about 30cm long. Im not even sure if there are any rear speakers in the doors? There definitely is no fader control that I can find. Previous car picked up DAB perfectly and ive also done a retune of channels just to check. Still no improvement. Ive also unplugged any usb devices. I...

Re: POOR DAB RECEPTION & FADER??

Point 1: DAB reception is really poor, and just loses signal every other second. I never had a problem with a DAB unit I had fitted to my previous car. Is there a better aerial option or a upgrade of firmware? Car is a 2015 1.6HDI FEEL with DAB and USB/AUX (no SATNAV)? Point 2: Is there a fader opt...

Re: Hi Folks

The easy way is to look at the user manual for a 2014 model which explains its use and see if you can find the same functionality with your car.
All the user manuals for the various models are available for free download here :

Re: Shuddering/Loss of Power

The 'metallic rattling' suggests pinking, which means either the plugs are faulty (happens a lot with modern engines) or the timing is out? Also can be attributed to the fuel having too low an octane rating than is required for the high internal pressure in the cylinders, particularly relevant for ...
