Re: Need some information on new Citroen C4 Cactus Flair model

I had my C4 Cactus Puretech 110 Flair for 3 years and never had any issues with it. I had the leather seat option which were far more comfortable than the cloth versions I had driven in loan cars. I had the bonnet catch safety recall and the doors had to be replaced due to the corrosion issue - but ...

Re: Satellites Not Visible

I forgot to update. it turns out Isobell was right, it was the aerial base. which i managed to find online for £25 and get replaced by my local garage. Just to say citroen didn't have a clue. they wanted to flash the software and wouldn't believe that i had updated the firmware myself. this would h...

Re: Completely out of Engine Oil..

1.6 2015 blue hdi, almost 200k kms some 150k miles done, bought it last year did on it 6k miles no oil consumption at all. 1.2 engine is to small for the size of the car. Next time buy 1.6 The 1.2 110 Puretech is perfectly adequate for the Cactus. It has plenty of power and mine did 50mpg average o...

Re: New owner-potential engine problem?

Take out an extended parts warranty I've seen this problem in my searches also the adblu tank is a common failure the pump on mine went just after the warranty ended. £800+ to replace because they will only sell with the tank attached despite the tank being ok. Urea warning light emissions fault, c...

Re: Nice one!

On my Cactus which I had from new for 3 years, the heater would pump out warm air before I reached the end of my road! Never failed to. That was a 110 petrol engine.

In my current car it's just as efficient.

Re: MyCitreon App

Does the App do anything useful, worth having? Cheers Mike it can prompt you when mapping updates are available, give a bit of extra info about any faults / warnings, keeps an eye on servicing, tells you where you've parked, your average fuel consumption, a breakdown of trips by day, month etc with...

Re: Engine fault. Please have engine repaired.

I had the same issues, "have engine repaired" came up in the screen. It turned out to be the NOX sensor Code of (P2202). The Diagnostic cost £116.00, the sensor and ECU download was £58, total job with labour a horrendous price of £439.70. You were ripped off! £116 for plugging it into a computer -...

Re: Engine fault. Please have engine repaired.

I had this problem on my C4 Cactus. I had a roadside call out which put the car through a diagnostic check and there were no engine faults found. Under warranty, the car went back to the dealer. It was a faulty sensor unit. I was reassured and told it was ok to drive. New sensor unit was ordered an...

Re: Seats in Cactus 2 - differences between them

I think only the Flair model and above have the comfort seats.

In the Mk1 version, the leather seats were different (much more comfortable) than the fabric seats.

Re: Shuddering/Loss of Power

The 'metallic rattling' suggests pinking, which means either the plugs are faulty (happens a lot with modern engines) or the timing is out?
