Re: Under the engine

Thank you, Peter W I had a quick peek under another new Cactus in a car park this morning. No engine tray on that one either, confirming your information. I wonder if this is more likely to be a cost-saver as opposed to an engine-cooling requirement. The struts alongside clearly have holes for clip...

Re: No heat out of the heater

Hi Rubik,

I had that just once on my now-traded Cactus 110 Flair; I parked it up for 30 minutes with the engine off, then restarted and it was then ok. Never had the problem again.

Re: Electric rear windows?

No offence taken ;) Just curious about this variant as I know folks in the past have cited the pop-out rear windows to be a negative aspect on the Cactus. I love 'em, but certainly the press like to always point them out as if it's a negative thing. Jono Funny how the ress necer said anything about...

Re: Rusty door bottoms

Agree that it needs to be taken to the dealers and dealt with under warranty. These doors are rusting from the inside out, so anything other than a replacement isn't going to keep the tin worm at bay for long. Had mine done on Ronnie prior to trading him, keeping a close eye on the replacement for ...

Re: Headlamp mounting repair kits

A bigger expense is a new healamp unit at around £180 plus fitting plus bulbs etc.! And it's really just a bigger piece of plastic!

Glad you finally got it sorted, Rubik! At least Citroen kept paying - I don't think BMW would have!

Re: The new fishing & camping wagon

Your registration plate can be seen all the time your car is on the road. Dash cams and CCTV everywhere. Interesting that you didn't mind sharing someone else's number to be cloned though! Interesting that you didn't mind sharing at least 4 other owners' registration numbers in your supermarket car ...

Re: Dashcam (wire hiding?)

When I had my Cactus I did the same on the passenger side (RHD). I ran the cables down inside the door pillar cover (easy to remove and replace) and straight to the fuse box, where I used a fuse adaptor to connect the switched power. Mine had a rear camera too and I ran the cable along the door sill...

Re: The new fishing & camping wagon

I have to have a laugh when folk blank their registration plates; they are not personally identifiable information and are a matter of public record! Unless you blank them out while driving, if you're worried about cloning it's more likely to happen when you're driving around or parked up, even outs...
