Re: cactus as a family car?

I think that it will be very cramped (probably too cramped) with a child seat and a child on each side of the child seat in the back seat. I tried this in our former BMW E46 Touring, which is 82 mm wider than Cactus, with the same experience. When mentioned, Cactus is a nice little family car for a ...

Re: Recall, anyone else had one recently?

I received this recall (the bonnet catch) by email from Citroën in Denmark (administered by Peugeot Denmark) already on November 21, 2016. Our car was built July 14 2014 and we received it one month later (19 August 2014). Our Cactus is therefore one of the 5-6 first that came in private ownership i...

I agree that the most important thing is to enjoy the different Citroën models no matter which one you like. However, I think that the first versions of a model are the most honest and in terms of design the most interesting.

Re: 26/10/2017 @ 13:00 Launch of the new Cactus sedan!

I venture to suggest that in 20 years time, the Original Cactus will be a a Collectors item, with a strong fan club. The new upcoming one will just be yet another old car. If you have the current model. Look after it! Maybe. Older Citroën models such as CX, GS/GSA, BX, XM and C5 received relatively...

Re: 26/10/2017 @ 13:00 Launch of the new Cactus sedan!

You mean the Chapman strut? I would be very surprised if Citroën has changed the basics of the rear axle. Even a model like the significantly more expensive DS5 has a relatively cheap torsion bar (PSA PF2 platform). The new C4 Cactus is still built on an extended PSA PF1 platform. This platform is a...

Re: 26/10/2017 @ 13:00 Launch of the new Cactus sedan!

There are no doubt some decent changes on the car (such as adjustable steering wheel height and reach) as well as the other things mentioned in previous posts. However, I am most interested in the new PHC Hydraulic shock absorbers and if these fit the old model. I noticed that Thomas Majchrzak (Auto...

Re: 26/10/2017 @ 13:00 Launch of the new Cactus sedan!

Marketing is interesting. First, we hear that C4 Cactus is a kind of modern variant of the 2CV. Then Citroën makes a smaller upgrade of the model (though it is still 99% the same car) and voala, we'll hear that C4 Cactus is a kind of modern variant of the GS/GSA (which has always been the case in my...

It looks pretty nice, but I hope the new shock absorbers can be used on the old model.
