Re: Bonnet Catch Recall

Yes, my (64) has had it done ages ago. It is now having the rear doors replaced due to corrosion. I only found out about it off this forum.
I am paying for the replacement of the rear disc brakes due to corrosion. The car has been in for repairs nearly as long as I have owned it.

Re: Door rim corrosion

Mine is getting two new rear doors (through rust) replaced under the warrantee. It is a yellow Cactus Feel (27k) on a 64 plate. I am also paying for new rear discs and pads because they are so rusty. Also the air-con is being replaced under warrantee. Do you think this car is a good investment?

Re: Soon to be new Cactus owner

The Citroen C1 has a brilliant reversing camera which puts the Cactus one to shame. My Cactus reversing camera is black in the dark where this one on the C1's screen is fantastic. Also, the C1 doesn't have rusting rear doors after 27k (3yrs old).

Re: MPG

In warm weather, driving within speed limits, no hard acceleration, good forward planning and this car will return up to 85mpg over a 300mile trip.

In colder weather, frost on the ground the mpg will drop to around 50mpg. Its to do with the air viscosity and the flexibility in the tyre walls.

Re: Next Cactus or not?

The new model of the C4 Cactus has lost its character. It looks like the basic C4 with the grille and a Cactus from the back. I am assuming Citroen thinks sales will increase getting rid of those 'air-bumps'. Their first year (14/64) of production didn't sell many Cacti. When I purchased mine in 201...

Re: movies on 7" display?

I bought this car, I love its cheap insurance, nil road tax, very economical, bouncy ride and its quirky appearance. I dislike its stupid 7 inch screen. I find there is too much going on to be displayed and acted upon whiles driving. The heating control aspect is ridiculous. I have to pull over to a...

Re: movies on 7" display?

Stupid 7 inch display, too many fussy instructions. We might as well be watching videos whiles driving our Cactus's

DANGEROUS heating control. It should be like the Citroen C1, simple, easy and you don't have to take your eyes off the road.

Yes, very neat job but why have you felt the need to fit one?
