Re: Just mounted mud flaps

They do look good. They just don't work that well as mud flaps though!

Re: Real world mpg

Only done @ 600 miles (15k on the display) in our 110 petrol & we are showing 42 mpg - mostly town driving.

Four steady 20 mile runs in one day on 50 mph limit A roads was at 53 mpg.

Re: New Nottingham member; 110 flair, pearl white

Too late with the foam boot tray & yes, it is flimsy. Half the price of the Renault Scenic one, but that was a lot better & lasted 12 years of hard labour.

Just done 80 miles (4 x 20) of 50mph A roads & it's done 53mpg. Much better, but nice steady drive so it should be.

Re: How to open 17" wheels cap/cover ?

Two small Allen keys & a gentle pull was my quick fix.

Re: spare wheel

I've bought a set of steel wheels for a bargain £59 delivered to transfer our winter wheels onto. One fits fine in the spare wheel well & with a £14 scissor jack from Eurocarparts I feel happier than having the foam. I found it easy to get the 17 inch plastic caps off using two small allen keys thro...

Re: What kind of rear brakes - 1.2 110 HP.

Our 110 flair has rear discs too. Probably look better behind the alloys but handbrakes always seem to work better & last longer with drums. It's a light car (petrol especially) with not much weight at the rear so discs aren't really necessary.

New Nottingham member; 110 flair, pearl white

Hello all, Brief introduction from me. We bought a 15 plate 110 flair in pearl white a month ago to replace our ageing 2004 Renault Scenic that we owned from new. We weren't going to change the car whilst we still had the dog, but the 14 year old mutt out lived the car! Thoughts? We like it. The 110...

Re: Mounting mud flaps

I'm hoping they will cut down some of the muck kicked up by the wheels, especially at the rear.

Pretty easy to fit, so long as you have a pop riveter. I took each wheel off for ease & to clean the inside of the alloys. Probably took 10 minutes a corner.

Re: Which spare ?

I would much rather have a full size spare where possible rather than a space saver & that instead of the naff foam thing. I run winter tyres on the family car from November to April (generally), so have just bought a set of 16 inch steel wheels at a bargain £59 for four! One of those is now install...
