View attachment 286 As a relatively new Cactus owner, here are my first impressions after six weeks' ownership:

+

* Uncluttered minimalist dashboard

* Excellent driving position

* Quirky looks - in a good way

* Ride - smooth but not too wallowy

-

* No air vent on passenger side

* Air vents cannot be moved side-to-side, only up and down!

The above is quirky but not in a good way

* AC is only just adequate - doesn't do 'freezing'

Temperature here today [London] registered 34 degrees - see photo

* After washing the car or being out in the rain, water drips straight down off the open tailgate - should be
designed so that it runs into the tailgate 'seating' channel.

Citroen and the dealer were none too helpful when enquiring as to whether it can be taken through a car wash - my concern was regarding the roof bars.

No definitive answer from Citroen or dealer.

Tried it several times now and it's fine - no issues in the car wash.

A work colleague saw the new car and enquired: "How do you like the C4?"
I replied - almost too quickly: "It's a Cactus, actually!"

Yes - I like the car and I think you do get in that 'Cactus mindset', it's not just any old Eurobox.

Air vents do move sideways. All the way to the left closes the vent.

34 degrees :shock:

I was happy with 21 up here in the North

Good review though and interesting about the car wash. I had not thought about it as I don't use them but also the air bumps could be an issue

Be smart and don't take it through a car wash anyway. Hand wash it with microfiber washing equipment and special car shampoo.

Unfortunately this post is in Dutch, but I'm sure it will be readable to some extend when you take it through the Google Translate:

It's from a site and forum where they specialize in washing cars and products for it. I think they also ship overseas: http://www.carclean.nl

They have a double-sized one in the centre, it works fine

The can, but don't go all the way to the right or you will be closing it

* AC is only just adequate - doesn't do 'freezing'
Mine is freezing, I would ask the dealer to recharge it

Do not believe 34 degrees in London, it would suggest you read it when car had been parked, driving it would have brought that temp to the ambient.

We had 26 in St Albans.

If it needs recharging already that would suggest a leak in the system. A dealer can pressure test to check.
