Stumbled on this yesterday whilst waxing my car. I was using Turtle Wax Ice synthetic liquid wax and happened to start reading the blurb on the back (something I rarely do lol) and it said it was safe to use on exterior plastics as it doesn't leave a white residue like other waxes.
Anyway I decided to try it on a not so obvious piece of trim and it came up really nice. So as well as waxing the paintwork all the trim and airbumps were done as well and they now look pristine
If you have never used Turtle Wax Ice I find it very easy to use by the way.
