Just taken delivery of my new all black Cactus Flair Diesel.

Tyres are 205/50/R17/89V

I live in a rural area with plenty of potholes and mud.

Can I put on BF Goodrich 265 / 65 / R17's All Terrain tyres on without chaffing the wheel arches or affecting anything else?

Any help appreciated and thanks in anticipation.

It will affect it somewhat.

The 205 means the tyre is 205mm wide, the 50 means the sidewall is 50% of tyre width in this case 102.5mm

If you were to put on the tyres mentioned your sidewalls would be 65% of 265mm = 172.25mm so your tyrewalls would be nearly 70mm larger giving an increase in rolling radius of nearly 140mm.

This will affect your speedo readings.

Can't comment on rubbing issues bit would think there would be.

Thanks John.

Having taken a closer look, when the front wheels are in the full lock position there is just about an inch [26mm] clearance - not enough for the 'smallest' tyre for a 17inch rim.
