Car in today to body shop for doors, also mentioned recall for software update to be done.
Courtesy car C1 was not washed or hoovered, both footwells with grass and mud stains. Not impressed Arnold Clark Stirling, after receptionist said just take a seat in waiting area while we clean and Hoover car.

Latest got a call today from Arnold Clark Citroen Stirling, fix delayed missing a part could be Monday or Wednesday of next week.Anyone tell me how long it took on their door fix ?

Duff Morgan had mine for 2 weeks, they took all the door parts off and put back on (check everything has gone back in place after). They even gave me a bottle of touch up aswell.

Thanks cactusjack hope it's not two weeks they charging ÂŁ12 a day insurance for courtesy car.And car had no rattles or squeaks when it went in so hopefully the same when I get it back.

Really?? My courtesy car ( brand new Peugeot 2008) didn't cost at all, just return with a bit of fuel. Cheeky that. Also check the door seal has been put back so the front end is very near the indent mark.

Update picked up car late last night to dark to check,so on checking this morning only one door has been changed, other door has paint off inside of door through to bare metal where some of the rust was, another patch not touched.Straight back to Arnold Clark Stirling this morning more photos taken and apologies offered.Got to go through the same warranty process again. It is what it is just got to wait, not good enough though, also done an engine software update nxe, something to do with battery charging I was informed. On another note no charge was taken for courtesy car insurance which had been quoted previously at ÂŁ12 a day.Every cloud has a silver lining.

Just put mine in for gearbox issues ( under warranty ) 2 recalls ( bonnet and software) showed the driver door bubbling on paintwork, got a call to say they're replacing 2 doors.
Do they actually replace the doors with matching ones, or respray/ repair the current?
Looks like I'm going to have to get the magnifying glass when this gets done to make sure everything is aligned!

Only changed one door on mine as stated in previous post body shop had scraped rust off one patch down to bare metal and left other rust patch untouched on other door.Got an email from Arnold Clark requesting feedback on service.Well my feedback got a phone and email response, upshot is they only had it down to replace one door.Investigating and will call me back, looking to blame third party but if body shop was only instructed to change one door why did they scrape the rust off other door?Guy who phoned me was most apologetic but on listening to him he thought it was the blending in I was not happy about. So had to tell him what problem was and a member of his staff had taken photos,so will wait and see what occurs.Further updates to follow.

Mine (all 4) were new unpainted doors, body shop matched paint to other panels and sprayed.

Latest from Arnold Clark Stirling,Picking up my car from home and leaving courtesy car on Monday.Couldn't tell me if door would be replaced or repaired but either would be covered by warranty from date of change or repair. We're most apologetic about the whole issue car should never been returned in that condition.

I'm a Service Manager in a Citroen dealer and can confirm that once corrosion is identified and pictures submitted with a full estimate including all trims etc., they will approve full replacement. I have so far not been instructed to repair any doors.

Just quoted what service manager told me on phone that either a door replacement or repair would be covered by a warranty. He obviously didn't know which was going to be done.I will just have to wait and see.

Just got car back after being at Arnold Clark's Stirling for 17 days courtesy car provided, that's the two doors with rust both renewed.I don't know why only one was done the first time, lack of communication was mentioned.Anyway all's well that ends well.

My 2016 Blue HDi Flair has the rusting door problem also. It is metallic white so the rust appears very obviously . This is very disappointing . Going to the dealer on Monday to discuss. My other car is a '05 Subaru Legacy Estate with intergalactic mileage and it has no corrosion issues.!!! QA in Spain must be below par. The forum has been really useful in raising this unfortunate issue.

Really i can understand. My doors had all rusting problem. My dealer replaced all doors and then the problems began. They fixed them 5 times from then and all tomes like now at two front doors at the edge of the airbumps the paint was broken after two weeks after the painting. I really dont know what to do

Update on Rusting doors...

3 new doors will be ordered ,painted ( That could be an adventure ) and fitted under warranty. When the helpful dealer was on the phone to Citroen warranty I inspected a new yellow HDI Flair in the show room . Sure enough , paint bubbles and irregularities were clearly visible on the lower lip of the passenger and left hand side rear door ,a sure precursor to corrosion . The dealer also has a KIA franchise . Parked adjacent to the cactus was a Kia Stonic. As a Citroen fan it was dispiriting to compare the two cars and the obvious disparity in quality.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread...

Hi folks, I'm thinking about getting a "pre-reg" (and pre facelift) registered in March 18. But I'm bothered about the door rust issue, and am wondering whether re-designed/modified doors will have been fitted to 2018 cars? If not I'll probably go for a C3.

One other thought, I'd aim to keep the car 10 years or so, will be touch screen still work in 10 years :?:

Thanks in advance.

If you're buying an '18 car the doors are covered by the warranty so what's the problem?

I know what your saying, you would think that this problem would have been sorted at source as soon as ,my 4 doors were replaced long before yours so I hope they are the sorted ones.i wouldn't be worried about the touch screen, there will always be a tech wizard somewhere who will be doing repairs or refurbished exchange units after all they only plugin.

Guys, thanks for your comments.

I appreciate the warranty would cover the issue, but would rather not be on the lookout for rust on my new motor!

Does anyone know whether the current C3 has had door rust problems?

Good point about the screen, I hadn't realised they simply pluggedin.
