Boomy when accelerating at higher speeds

Post by Cactused » Tue Mar 14, 2017 10:07 pm

Noticed recently the engine getting quite boomy when putting my foot down at motorway speeds. Starting to feel a little sluggish too, but maybe that's just the noise making it seem like it's working harder than normal. It's a 110 Puretech with approaching 30K miles. Anyone else noticed performance drop-off?

People don't tend to reply if they don't have anything to add rather than just "no".

Perhaps someone who has had similar hasn't viewed your post yet.

Hello,

I have C4 cactus 110hp, 6 manual gearbox. I was travelling through a highway. Long trace with progressive rise caused engine to decrease performance. No statement issued on the display but engine start to be more noisy & lazy. Any try to speed up was succesfull but with strong fuel consumption increasing. I remember that strong wind was blowing from the side. Car was doing some movement from the straight line.
I think that puretech do not like passing long traces with progressive raise.

Bye
