Update.......took the car to my local Citroen dealer and they have photographed the doors and sent the info off to Citroen for a warranty claim for four doors. Just waiting to hear back from them. The dealers said it will probably be tomorrow.

Update. Citroen have approved replacement of all four doors. Think I have to pay £10 per day (insurance) for the courtesy car while the Cactus is in the bodyshop though? Is that standard practise or should I complain?

At least the doors will be sorted.

Check your doors people!

Mike.

Some insurance policies, like mine, include insurance for a loan car whilst your own car is in for service and MOT. I just give them a copy of my certificate.

Check rest of car bodywork I had two doors replaced and found quite a lot of lacquer fingerprints on the roof rails and bonnet.

So it's going to cost £20 per day for a courtesy car. Dealership can't help so I am now speaking direct to Citroen customer care. I just think that expecting me to pay £120-£140 (Kia Picanto) for a courtesy car is unacceptable. The repair will be £1000's.......lets hope Citroen come good.

My turn now! Having spotted this thread I went and took a look and my drivers door is afflicted. Paint loose and corrosion behind that.

Been to the main dealer and as a consequence going to their body shop this afternoon for a proper valuation.

Back from the body shop.

This was a new one for them. Although they have been used to the DS range having body corrosion.

After inspection they said the problem is definitely coming from the inside and hence lifting the paint. Furthermore they condemned a second door as soon to gave the same issue.

So now a waiting game while reports get fed back to the dealer and then to Citroen UK and see what the outcome is.

I had all four doors replaced ( under warranty ) for exactly this reason. Look under my New doors post and all will be explained.

All sorted. Citroen are paying ALL costs including the courtesy car. Replacement of all four doors in the next couple of weeks.

Citroen customer care were very helpful and easy to deal with it must be said.
