service 2 Year

Post by Ffrs1444 » Tue Jul 11, 2017 10:20 pm

Just picked the car up on Saturday and they said its been serviced which would be the 2nd service, I lifted the flap under the drivers wiperblade and there is 2 filters in there both where dirty and never changed plus the Washer pipe was split Should this filter of been changed is it the pollen filter.

That shows you what's included in an interim and a full service. In your Owners Handbook it tells you how often things should be changed like filters etc.

In a full service the washers are checked so they should have seen the split pipe, and the filters should have been changed.

Was it Yeomans in Plymouth that serviced your car?

Just in case the dealer doesn't fix the washer pipe, maybe this thread will be of interest

The first year service on mine was supposed to have been done by Citroen at their company car facility at Corby, and book stamped etc..but I was never convinced the oil had been changed..long story short, Perry's at Barnsley re did the service for me, so happy customer..re the Pollen filter I doubt they last much longer than a year, never mind 2!!..however I bought OEM quality pollen filter from GSF for £11 and it's dead easy to fit..good video on YouTube shows how it's done..

Did you pay extra for the brake fluid change?

Yes you pay extra for brake fluid and labour... it just depends how the dealer charges for it...

Standard service cost + schedule items over and above standard service

Or

They choose to price the service individually by Year 1,2,3 etc...

The pollen filter is a service scheduled item replaced every 2years unless you are a taxi or go rallying (arduous) then it's 1year.

Didn't pay nothing just bought the car and they said it's been fully serviced but a Citroen dealer should be doing everything it needed I phoned the service dept and at the moment they say they have no record of the car servicing so not convinced it's been done just book stamped very naughty so waitting for them to ring me back and then I will be phoning the Sales dept and Kicking off the split hose is a big Give away and beside that is dirty pollen filters. They want to be dicks about it they can have the car back within the 30 day cooling period.

Paully where do you recommend for servicing, I'm not far from Barnsley and work near Cortonwood/Elsecar.
My first citroen so look for somewhere to maintain my service history
