Stop start was removed from the manual diesel in 2016 - it automatically activates and each time you start the car you need to actively turn it off - if you don’t need to do this then you don’t have it.

Why do you find cutting down on pollution annoying? I have S/S and it doesn't affect me at all. On an average 40 mile rush-hour journey the engine is off for around 6.5 minutes, which is a reasonable contribution to cleaner air for everyone, which is what S/S is for.

I don’t think all markets lost the stop-start function

My 3 year old Cactus bluehdi has stop/start. Once stopped at garage and engine almost cut off when opennlng driver´s door at sametime, system got confused and disable it ever since. Dont bother, i prefer this way.

Once I stopped by the garage the engine was going to turn off when at the same time I opened the driver's door and started the engine again, the system got confused and blocked the start stop since then. Better that way.
