Cactus rear window latch came off

Post by cactuslondon » Sun Dec 22, 2019 2:25 pm

Hi all
Sorry for first posting to be a fault issue but my 2017 Cactus rear window latch has come loose a a window is not fully closed.
Has anyone had it like this?
Didn’t notice this until today. I don’t think anyone tried breaking in.
Is it likely the dealer will say it’s wear and tear and will want to charge to fix.
Looks like a piece has come off but couldn’t find anything
Welcome your thoughts and advice on how to deal with this.
Thanks

Unfortunately, I think they may classify this as trim, which may not be covered.

To me it looks like only a nut has worked loose. Is it possible to remove some kind of plastic cover on the part closest to the threaded pin, or is it solid?

don't fret over it the nut is probley still inside just flick that cover off and tighten with small socket quicker than booking in at dealer

Yep, this was just one of the very minor issues I have encountered with my Cactus.

It started with a rattle, fortunately I was able to locate the rattle and tighten it myself.

Yet another thing which just shouldn't happen.
