well, looks like someone's getting very good gains on the 110 engine: http://bluesparkautomotive.com/blog/?p=20
thought the gearbox was only good for 150lb/ft though?
tempting though - 150hp would make it fly!
It quotes 195lb/ft..and i read somewhere (on this forum?) the clutch on the 5sp in the Cactus is rated at 160lb/ft..which would be an issue. 6spd in 2008 130 puretech etc..
Hmm - its not usage of lbs or feet or newtons that my comment was aimed at ... you can see what I'm driving at if you google"Torque " and "Surface Tension" .
Fraid not.
KN/M or millinewtons/sq.M
Torque-Angular momentum or surface tension-surface stress can't see what the connection is in this context.
Not sure what your getting at.
I suppose that surface tension can be considered as Force per unit length and can be applied to solids as well, but that's a bit out there.
"Writing torque as lb/ft is exposing your mechanical ignorance..."
how so? I still use that metric, Nm mean very little to me.
