Service Intervention for a Catalytic Converter

Post by VinceMarsters » Thu Dec 27, 2018 1:55 pm

Just had a service done on my 2016 BlueHDI Flair and when I handed over the keys they told me that there was a service intervention required for the catalytic converter and that it would take at least 3 hours to do as they need the cat to be cold. I am not sure but I take it that they will be at least taking the cat out, otherwise I would have thought investigations could have been done during the service today. As they have said it is not a recall and not safety related, I am having the work done next month when I can spare 3 hours but wondered if anyone else has had similar recently. The car was previously serviced by the same dealer back in April and they did the Ad-Blue cap and bonnet recall in February just after I purchased the car.
