Picked the car up yesterday from the recall check. Was told everything was ok. My understanding is that the belt will now be changed later this year during the 6th year service, having less the 100,000 km, and that the cost for this change will be covered by Citroën.

A suivre...

Just a quick query. Anyone any idea why this only affects 110bhp or more engines, and not the 87? bhp non-turbos?

The timing belt had deteriorated clogging the oil strainer I think and the sump, filter, and a lot of other things under the bonnet which they changed. So I got the code of engine oil low pressure.

Just returned from WRDavies Stafford.
All good belt measured up ok!
It appears that the Arduous condition is based on mileage and distance per journey (9000 miles and less than 6 miles/journey), So I can expect to change cambelt at normal interval.
But please get to the recall and check with the dealer.
It sounds as if it's against a specific spec of 1.2 puretech not just 110hp with a specific date range. Which is why the DS3 and C3 engines have different turbo layout by 2018 with 110 and 130 engines outputs.
