New Maps

Post by VinceMarsters » Wed Mar 20, 2019 9:02 pm

For those who have MapCare using here maps (so the mk1 Cactus), it appears the latest update is now available - dated 19th March. The download is a hefty 5.5GB this time and citroen.navigation.com are stating it needs a 16GB pen drive this time instead of the 8GB suggested with the last update.
Also for the early Cactus which do not come with MapCare, it appears the update is not live on the site to purchase yet.

I just booked mine for first service, and asked about the map upgrade, which is free for 5 years. Apparently it’s only free if you do it yourself. If they do it it’s £48 :o

I couldn't get the download to work, even after downloading 3 times!

Depends how well you know your garage. I popped down to mine, and they loaned me a preloaded USB stick that I installed in an hour, whilst parked outside their showrooms.

I’ve ordered a 16gb SD card from eBay, see how I get on.

Done the latest upgrade and for the first time ever have found a new road. It on the new estate next to mine. Estate is only 12 months old. So I found that slightly reassuring.
Top tip only load the map upgrades you need, reduces the time it takes. France ,Benelux and UK done in about 10 mins.
Not planning to take car anywhere else this year so don't need them.
