This topic has been raised before and I agree about the reinforced ribbed part not being in the right place where the driver's heel goes. See this post viewtopic.php?f=8&t=615&p=3696&hilit=carpet#p3696

Thanks for the picture, I didn't buy the car to significantly change the look or feel of it, so I'll continue to pursue Citroën for their poor design on this model. I want the car I bought to not be such a disappointment. Next step will be consumer association support and given that the problem is not unique to my vehicle, a bit of media attention might ensue. I can see this going to litigation, possibly even a group litigation, given that the issue affects a number of vehicles.

You are undoubted correct. The carpets aren't good but I'm not seeing it as such a big deal. If that's the worst problem I get with a car, I'm happy.

Actually the drivers left foot rest in my automatic is wearing out and I'm wondering if anyone has an elegant solution to that. I'm thinking of cutting a bit of old mat to size and gluing it on.

I swapped mine out for Citroen rubber mats (they have the bumps to match outside). Not worn yet, had them ages well worth the price, about £40.

There are plenty on places like eBay but you need to be careful of the LHD/RHD and all seem to be exceptionally maximum blingy...

I sorted it. Cut a piece of old rear mat with the seam on the right hand edge. Looks and feels good. I'll post a pic ehen I get chance.
