17" alloy wheel offeset

Post by snowblind » Wed Jun 10, 2020 7:56 am

Hello,
sorry if this topic has probably been covered earlier, I am looking for a cheap set of 17" alloy wheels on ebay. Of course the stock 17" of the cactus will be ok but often i find wheels for other c3,c4,ds3. Will they all fit? Someone says yes but I like for example the ds3 "Bellone" sport wheels, this wheels are 7jx17 4x108 et25, orginal catus are 6.5jx17 et19, will this differences matter or not? i don't want to risk. Thank you

Inside of wheel will sit 12mm nearer the strut housing:

Thank you, and is that ok or I risk to damage something?

That's not something I can answer. You would need to fit the other wheels (front and back), and look carefully around the inside edges of the tyres/tyre rims, to see how near they run to anything under the wheel arches.
You also need to make allowances for both suspension movement, and tyre wall flexing.

Hi. See here for Citroën wheels. Although there are many models with same PCD's and Centre Bore, there appear significant differences for Offsets :

You could try putting your fingers between your existing tyre sidewall and the strut. That's around 10-15mm. That would give a good indication of if they would clear( do it on left and right full lock). Also check clearance on full lock of the inner tyre and the inner wing.
As for if the calipers would fit that will be down to the inner shape of the replacement wheel. To do that you'd have to fit them.
