New Nottingham member; 110 flair, pearl white

Hello all,

Brief introduction from me.

We bought a 15 plate 110 flair in pearl white a month ago to replace our ageing 2004 Renault Scenic that we owned from new. We weren't going to change the car whilst we still had the dog, but the 14 year old mutt out lived the car!

Thoughts? We like it. The 110 engine is great, punchy & refined, but economy round town is just 40 or 41 compared with 50 in the diesel scenic. Not been on a decent run yet really - we have another weekend car for that sort of thing, hence not buying the diesel Cactus. It's a fair bit smaller than the Scenic inside, but feels much more modern. The main downside for me is the much lamented poor lumbar support in the drivers seat. I have had to resort to ordering a memory foam support as I just can't get comfy. Otherwise, all is good.

Just fitted mud flaps all round & bought some 16 inch steel wheels for a bargain £59 delivered for four so I can transfer our winter tyres from the spare Scenic set. Other than rubber mats, boot tray & roof bars for the roof box needed for holidays, it's likely to stay as it is.

Regards, Mark.

Don't bother with the Citroen foam boot tray. Doesn't seem that durable compared to after market types. Go easy on the throttle and you should get closer to 50 - we have a 110 Flair and see 47 average after nearly 2,000 miles.

Too late with the foam boot tray & yes, it is flimsy. Half the price of the Renault Scenic one, but that was a lot better & lasted 12 years of hard labour.

Just done 80 miles (4 x 20) of 50mph A roads & it's done 53mpg. Much better, but nice steady drive so it should be.
