Ive noticed that my seal is short of the line. Not measured it but seems a fair amount. When in the high 60s/early 70s i notice wind noise coming from drivers door but it sounds like its coming from right next to my ear. So the back of the door (not where the seal is short). Its not a whistle so could this just be wind noise and is normal?

It could be. Mine is a definite high pitched whistle. Its actually quite loud and if I drive over 80mph it is pretty much constant now. Between 70 and 80 it is intermittent and under 70 I dont hear it.

In fact the only way I can deal with the noise is to open the nearside window by about 1cm. I dont know if that stops it or if I just can't hear it due to the wind!

Mine sounds like its coming from this seal. It was bent behind the metal when i got the car and the engineer just pulled it out but its sagging now and they wont replace it. Could that be letting in sound?

could be..that is the glassrun, but it's likely to be coming from the glass-rubber contact. Try a strip of duct tape over it sometime and you can isolate it pretty quickly.

What just literally stick the rubber to the metal?

Is the seal easily moveable. Ive noticed on the passenger side the seals overlap and theres no hole. I had a quick look and it looks like the seal is hooked over a piece of metal so dont wanna pull it off and not be able to get it back on.

Hi

The problem is easily solved. Lift the bonnet and far right and left near then windscreen are some plastic filters. There will you find some leaves and they seem to act like a reed in a wind instrument. Remove debris and no noise at any speed. Cheers

I've just had my 2nd year service, reported this issue and await "a part" to fix the issue. Will post pictures of the fix in due course.
