Removing airbumps

Post by Mokaust » Tue Mar 27, 2018 3:46 pm

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to remove the airbumps on the side of the car? I'm curious to see how it wil look without and if it is even possible without damaging the car.

I. Think you can buy without air bumps, but I would imagine that the door skin is pressed without the fixing holes.

I already have a grey/silver c4 cactus with black airbumps but im looking to make the care less eye catching. Maybe considering the grey airbumps or removing them but i dont want to make the car look stupid

There is a recess in the door skin...so removing the airbumps will make it looking something is missing.... which it is....

Or you could just buy some doors from the new c4/c4 cactus

I can't help but think you've missed the point of the car.

OT, it doesn't look like there's a way to really remove them and have the car look more normal. If it's built into the frame of the doors you're going to end up with it either way. Just as well have the protection? I can't imagine having a car that is susceptible to parking dings now.

21 months in and only 12k on the clock. Going strong!

See this thread viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1841

You can see photo-shopped pictures, but supposedly of real cars made without airbumps.
