You may find it lasts much longer in the fridge...

My milk lasts in the Cactus - it takes 20 minutes driving for the heater to start producing heat- is like a fridge on my drive to work- I have to ware gloves! Worst heater I have ever had in a car - Citroen say it’s fine!

On my Cactus which I had from new for 3 years, the heater would pump out warm air before I reached the end of my road! Never failed to. That was a 110 petrol engine.

In my current car it's just as efficient.

Just to endorse this comment. That's been our experience with our 82bhp model. I reckon less than mile and we're getting warm air through. Been in my DS5 today (a diesel) and I must have done over a couple of miles before any real warmth started to come through. I'm sure it's something to do with the fact diesels produce more kinetic energy and less heat than petrol engines. i.e they are more efficient. I bet that last comment will invoke some learned responses!! So I fully expect to hear phrases like crap etc etc!!!

Gotta love those rear door pockets 8-)

My 110 petrol heats up quickly, it is quite normal for diesel engines to take longer in my experience with previous cars.

I had a Land Rover Freelander diesel which had an auxiliary diesel heater for this reason.

Cheers
