Is this really going to replace both the Cactus and the C4?

This article says there wlll be a new C4 in 2018:

I read the French article as saying.
C4 cactus to disappear and the face lift to become the "new C4" and out next year and the a "new new" C4 out in 2020/21.
Supposedly with the new twin shock suspension rather than the ancient torsion beam that the cactus has.
Personally I still like the look of the Cactus. It stands out as different, edgy or weird but at least it stands out.
It harks back to a time when you could tell what car was behind you in your mirror. Now you can tell the make but not the model and some times you need to see the badge to tell the difference.🌵 🚗

Are we sure this is the new Cactus, isn't it just the next version of the regular C4?

Hope it isn't a replacement for the Cactus :|
The next C4 is based on the same chassis as the 308, this looks much like a current Cactus with the styling turned down - I think it's just a fantasy render, nothing more or less than that of a facelift rather than new car - the proportions are too much like the current car to be a new one. My understanding is that the Cactus won't be directly replaced within the range, with the 'Aircross' models supporting those who don't want traditional hatch backs.

Looks very Meh?! as the kids say, what is the point of taking the quirks out of the C4 Cactus, it's what makes it.
I'm holding out for the C3 Crosser and the C5 Crosser, and will getting one in the funkiest colour combo I can!
In such a homogeonised world of identikit cars, the C4 was a breath of fresh air, and I'm glad the C3/C5 Crossers are going to up the ante in the quirk stakes, we need more fun(ky) cars!!!
