Re: Citroen Lease Service question

Had a proper read through the lease agreement and it says the following:

"All servicing and other work must be carried out by a Citroen dealer or authorised repairer ("repairer") and it is your responsibility to ensure
that the repairer stamps the vehicles service book ....."

Does anybody know what constitutes an "Authorised repairer" ?

thanks

Yes, there are dealerships around the country that are authorised to undertake Citroën servicing and will give you a Citroën 'stamp' - we used to have one here in Kempston, Bedfordshire. Ultimately you will still find them through the Citroën web site if you search on 'servicing'

Another service question!

When I go to book a service at my local dealer and put my reg & mileage in it has a 'recommended' pollen filter change (for £35) and it says its part of my "servicing schedule"

Am I obliged to get this done? If so I don't understand why it's not mandatory as part of the 12 month service.
thanks for any help!

How much was the first service? We are also on the 18 month deal and service is due in 1 month. 1.2 82ps
I just paid £124

If / when you get to the 2nd service, the cost is quite high unless you've signed up for the fixed price 3 year service package.

Good info. thanks. I'll be handing my leased Cactus back in November but was considering buying it if they offered me a decent deal.

Worth bearing in mind, thanks!

I was informed I had to have the pollen filter and Adblu done at the garage. I insisted I could do these myself and bought the part and adblu from citroen. Did that part of the job myself and saved around £180 in charges. The parts cost me £19 for 20ltrs adblu and £12 for the filter. Took me around 30 mins but I hadn’t done it before. I’ll be quicker next time. I just bought my next adblu at £9:50 for 20 Ltrs

I know I have to get a service at 10k miles
Are you sure? 16k or 1yr usually unless you are an arduous driver?

Re the service plan: I assume your contract is with Citroen as you are paying into their scheme (unless it is a dealer specific scheme)...ergo if you choose to go elsewhere outside of the dealer network you suck up the cost. The point of the Service Plan is to make you go back to the dealer or at least stay within the network amongst other perceived benefits*.

Warranty wise you are not tied to Main Dealer servicing as long as they are VAT registered and use genuine parts.

*sorry I really am not a fan of the plans :)
You are totally correct, So I got the oil on ebay for £32, and filter from a Citroen dealer for £10. I will go to local garage.
Going to much cheaper.
