Don’t worry, it’s not just you who has rear door rim corrosion. I had this symptom and only noticed through reading this forum. Citroen replaced 2 new rear doors under warranty with no argument. Mine is the (2014) 1.6Hdi.
When were they replaced? My local Citroen dealer is an Evans Halshaw, who say it needs to be done via their body workshop. Hopefully its a well known issue, so that it is done without a fuss. That they are simply replacing the doors sounds like they've sourced better doors.

Mine is a Sept 2015 build. Car is spotless, drives great, just the corrosion that seems a problem.
My local dealership replaced both doors in Cranswick, East Yorkshire.

I have since been offered a paintwork warrantee for £70/annum which I think may be worth paying for as Citroen have a bad reputation for corrosion. Regrettably my Cactus has been the worse Citroen I have ever owned, so much has gone wrong with it for a 4 year old motor.
When did you get yours done
Is that paint warranty different to the 12 year anti-perforation warranty? If its corrosion from within like the door rims, that would be covered, surely. Or is it incase any paintwork fails not just the doors - I assume it does not cover stone chips or corrosion from them

Just got our back, they replaced all 4 doors. It took them a full week. Sadly the warranty doesn't cover replacement vehicle during repairs but our dealer let us borrow one on goodwill. We only had to pay €10 for insurance and the gas we used.

Just goes to show how good my dealership have been to me despite all my upsets with the Cactus.

They have lent me anything from a brand new C1 or a new C3 on every occasion for free & sometimes incl fuel.

We took delivery of a 2015 Cactus last Sunday and I had noticed some corrosion on the bottom inside of the passengers door prior to the pickup. I mentioned this post on the C4 forum in passing when we picked it up.

When my wife took it to the dealer today for the corrosion to be looked at she was informed that they had taken a look on this post and then been in contact with Citroen and low and behold we will be shortly receiving two new doors in the near future.

The dealer said that they knew nothing of this problem and it was the content here that lead them to speak to Citroen.

All 4 replaced here on a 15 plate flair. John grose, Ipswich. Took 2 weeks. Had to go back a few times due to air bumps not being fitted correctly.

They have however sorted it.

Looks like I'm suffering from this now too. 66 plate blue Hdi Flair. Booked in to Citroen dealers next week. Three out of four doors showing signs of corrosion.

When the weather warms up the air bumps expand, they have a tendency to push the paint off the doors. It won't show up in cold weather, only when direct sunlight heats the air bumps above 25c and the paint can then ripple..
