I can afford only 2016 or older models, so the 2017 will be to much for me now. I dont know what this mean Pheon. Gear linkage? I will get the drum brake models ok, but what that means, the gear linkage?
Thank you for all of your answers again :) hope untill i get the car i will have lots of positive feedback about the car.

The "gear linkage" should have been written the "gear SHIFT linkage".

I was a diesel fan, but really in 90% use for city doesn't feel to buy a diesel car. Only probably once a year we gonna go to East Europe, and once to France/Spain maybe. Thnx anyway :)
I still would not discount the 100 diesel. I have just sold ours after 3 years of bliss trouble free motoring both local use and longer journeys. You have the power the low down torque for hills and brilliant mpg for longer driving

I'm not sure the adage of going for petrol if mostly doing local is that relevant with modern engines. The 100 diesel has a higher MPG, though I guess in inner city driving its similar to the petrol. It has Eco mode so auto stop/starts the car great for rush hour traffic, and zero road tax for low emissions.

If going for 2016 model check the prices. Last week I test drove an 82 petrol and 100 diesel (2015 models). At low speeds 20-30mph the diesel is slightly noisier, at higher speeds 60mph the petrol is noisier, but not so much in either case to be bothersome.

That article is 4 years old, but the important thing is the DPF maintenance. So if szaBIKA journeys are nearly all short then petrol sounds best.

For completeness here's a 2018 article in case anyone is buying new https://www.which.co.uk/reviews/new-and ... -is-better

There is at least one member of the forum that had a diesel for short trips/ local travel and only about 30 miles each week and was very disappointed with its mpg (low 40s or so) plus a few annoying issues , and now has a petrol one, with which he seems to be more satisfied...

I will defenetly want to buy petrol because of the DPF issues, can afford 2015-2016 models only, so yes nc111 as you write I will choose petrol 110, hunting for Flair models :) next month will buy. What things I have to focus to check in the car? Gear linkage how can I feel? Touchscreen will check, aircondition, what else all you sugest to me to check?

Check inside the doors at the bottom for 'cobwebbing' in the paint which suggests door corrosion - this results from a fault in the production line where some doors have been contaminated prior to painting and on more recent models the door design has been changed in manufacturing apparently. This fault should be fixed under warrantyby Citroen.
