Expand Warranty?

Post by cactuslarisa » Wed Mar 13, 2019 7:46 am

Hi,
I'm reaching 2 years, 35.000Km and at the end of the warranty.
Till now i used the warranty for one problem with the locking doors.
I must to decide if i'll expand the warranty for 3 more years, till 80.000 Km and for 500€.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Admittedly its a petrol, At 2.5 years I just had a cam belt crumble and block the oil pick up. (before any one says anything it was main dealer serviced) All fixed under warranty. My problem now is the opposite, do I keep the car after the extended warranty ends.

Finally, I didn't expand the warranty and I hope I will not regret it.

I assume that as you quote the distance covered in kilometres, you must be on the continent. In the UK the original warranty is 3 years. I have had several Citroens and I have had quite a lot of work done under warranty; a new Adblue tank and a new starter/alternator on a C4 Picasso, injectors and ABS sensors on a C3 with over 90,000 miles on the clock. I dread to think how much these would have cost me out of warranty. I wouldn't now risk running a car over 3 years old without extending the warranty. In the UK Citroen Warranty is in the order of £250 a year, and I would consider it a real bargain.
