Adding a 1.5L bottle is not enough. You need to add ~5L. The best way of doing it is to add a whole 10L container. (only £10- £12). The warning light should clear without needing to do anything, although it may take a day or two. The capacity of the tank is ~17L, and it lasts 10,000-12,000 miles, so your 1.5L would only last about 1000 miles. Put some more in and post again if it doesn't sort it out, or if 10L will not go in.
cheers will give it a go...at least the 1.5ltr will keep my mind settled for a few days if I dont get the chance....Had a company van run out previously on me when Id been told it had 1000 miles left on the adblue ...it didnt ....not pleasant having a van break down on the M6 in poring rain .
Unfortunately it is not a case of the Adblue running out, it is that the car believes it has run out. It stops when the mileage countdown reaches zero. So as your 1.5L has not registered it will make no difference.
