firmware update for touch screen.

I`d be wary of doing it, unless essential. I`ve heard of instances where the update has gone wrong/inconclusive and its worse than before and the dealers won`t touch it or is that just Peugeots?

Can't say I've seen any reports of those problems in the Cactus forum...

Nevertheless, the file you were having difficulty in downloading is available at that link - I just downloaded it.

If you want everything neat and tidy and all in one place I suggest you make it so, and not suggest that other people do it for you.

I'm new to this forum and used to asking as a new member not just taking things into my own hands.

And as you was the one that had taken time attaching links etc in helping me me ibthoughtbit would be appropriate asking admin first.

If you read what I've wrote on last column or thread above I had already sorted the issue out.
I appreciate English may not be your first language etc.
As not mine.

If anyone is local to me in Essex and requires a software update and speedcams update please let me know I will do free of charge.

I don't know of any major problems but I know Firmware update 5.4.B.R8 solved the problem of the radio being unmuted after a phone call and on the next Firmware update it returned.

I'm annoyed because took delivery of a 67 plate cactus from the factory in November, only to find that the model that comes out next few months has mirror screen functionality as standard, so why not my brand spanking new machine, that's just cheeky Citroen grrrr!!!

To be fair, you would have got yours close to the end of production of the Mk1..You can`t expect them to upgrade build at the end of production. That`s not how it works. The other side of the coin is that you will have got yours at a large discount to list price, whereas the Mk2, although fitted with your gizmo of choice, will have little or nothing discount wise until its been on sale for some time. Big price difference and I`d rather have the discounts. In fact I`ve asked my dealer to keep his eyes open for the last of the Mk1`s later this year, if they are being flogged off for silly money.

As of 21st November 2017, according to Citroen Service, the latest firmware for our Cactus is 5.41.B

So what is the point of uploading to our SMEG firmware versions that are assigned for other car models?

Citroen may be your God but they are certainly not mine... :eek:
I'm sufficiently satisfied that this firmware is supplied by PSA group and works on the Smeg+ as fitted to the Cactus
