Hi there just curious, i have the c4 cactus purtech flair edition (automatic) we were in town shopping today and all was ok, nut the camera for reversing has stopped showing up, was working fine this morning but upon getting home n doing school run i went into reverse and where i normally see the camera now all i see is the image of the car (the air view one) that shows sensors etc and collision warnings, i have attached a pic of what shows up where the camera normally shows,

I did have an issue a few weeks back where the camera was fuzzy and i posted regarding that but upon having it in for its MOT it was corrected as AC said there was gunk on the wires and they cleaned it all off and it was working fine, i have contacted AC regarding this and i am awaiting a call back but thought i would ask here just in case

Found a solution from a Peugeot user site. (Same camera and factory line)

Sounds like oxidisation on the pins in the connector. Disconnecting then re connecting cleaned the pins allowing it to work again.

I used to repair car park ewuipment and we used to get this all the time. The cabinets were protected from water ingress but they weren't hermetically sealed. The moisture in the air was enogh to cause oxidisation on the PCB connectors. Disconnecting the connectors and a quick spray with switch cleaner / deoxit generally sorted it out. It's exactly the same issue people used to get (and maybe still do) with their sky boxes. When you phoned them because the box wasn't working, the first thing you wer told to do was to remove the samrt card and clean the contacts.

Has your camera been working OK since you done this? as mine has gone again after having some very heavy rain in the last week.
I have just taken my camera out, unclipped the connection block and sprayed WD-40 contact cleaner into the connections on the camera as well as the wiring block, left for 5 minutes, put back together and the camera is working.
Time will tell.

It was easy, use a plastic trim removal tool or a flat bladed screwdriver and prize the camera off, it comes out easily.
Once you have pulled the camera and it's holder forward you will see a cable plug on the back of the camera, just unclip it and spray the contact cleaner into the cable plug end and of the camera plug, leave for 5 minutes and then refit in reverse of removal, your camera should work again.
Hope this helps.

Hi all, I am having the same issues. the revers camera only shows the alignment lines when in reverse mode and the screen is completely blank. I also notice that previously to this, the camera look very hazy like if water ingress. on the side, i changed the nameplate light fixture as it loos its translucent cover and the bulb was getting wet. This light is just beside the camera location physical. pure coincidence information i guess. Any help/ advice welcomed! thanks
