2016 owner here, too. Pretty much the exact same thing has just started happening to mine.

Just had a recent service, so maybe something has been bumped. I thought a firmware update might be in order but I'm reticent to attempt that in case it's a fuse or something that resets during the update.

Sorry I can't help, but I am pretty keen to get some advice.

At least it not just mine. Yeh I was thinking maybe something had come loose?? Hopefully someone will know how we fix it.

 

I just found this forum as was searching today for this exact issue!

I have a 2016 cactus and this screen cutting out issue started this morning, it seems to only happen when my headlights are on for some reason but it is every 10 mins or so.

What on earth is going on?

 

Anyone got an extended warranty? If so I suggest a visit to Citroen and report. If there is an issue with the screens that requires them to be replaced it will be expensive. There may be no other option as the screen controls some of the car's basic functions.

 

I'm afraid I wasn't responsible enough to get extended warranty :lol: .

I'm a little concerned here is this a 'programmed in fault' intended to make the screen fail.

I suggest that because in the last few days my 2016 cactus started to do the same every 10 minutes or so.

It cannot be a coincidence surely?

Mine is a 2016 model and I've not seen this problem yet.
But I did get a touch screen message this morning that said a new update for the Sat Nav maps is available to download .... I wonder if this is related.

Strange, yesterday also happened the same message "new update for the Sat Nav maps is available to download". How will it be possible if the vehicle is not connected to the internet? Will it be by the system date? (in any case I updated the maps).

I just checked. the Citroen website suggests the software update is not available. I've dropped an enquiry to Citroen asking how to correct the issue

Mine has suddenly started to do this in the last week strange so many all at nearly the same time

 

Mine too, thought it was just me. 2016 Cactus. I'll keep an eye on this forum and will try my Citroen dealer to see what they can tell me.

 

I also have a 2016 Cactus, and the same thing has been happening to me this week. Very strange. I'm keen to hear if anyone gets any advice on this.

 

It sounds very much a programmed in fault to me. Everyone failing at the same time is rather suspect

My 2016 Cactus 1.6 blueHDI Flair has just started doing the same thing. Cuts out for a brief period, then re-boots, about every 10 minutes. Surely this can't be a coincidence, that so many started playing up at the same time. Anyone contacted Citroen UK yet?

 

I've just sent a query to Citroen UK customer service & will post any reply when I receive one.

 

I also have a 2016 Cactus with this same problem started this week, just a couple of weeks after a service. Any body any updates.

 

Just joined to say the same and follow the thread. We have a 16 plate C4 Cactus. Had it serviced and MOT'd in August and everything was fine until last week. My wife reported the first resets.
Yesterday we drove a fair distance (about 2 hour drive) and no issues. On the return journey however it kept crashing and restarting every 10 minutes or so.

Not much difference between the two journies, same weather, using satnav, radio playing, heating on. Only difference was having a phone (iPhone) plugged into the USB port for charging - which may have been the cause, but this hadn't happened before either. Will try with and without phone next time I go on a longer drive.

 

My 2016 cactus started doing this last week! Now every 10 minutes it crashes and reboots. Only had it 3 months any only done 10k miles.
Very suspicious everyones getting it!

Someone has done a few tests reported on the C4 site, as there seem to be similar problems with 2016 cars as well. Radio on FM, OK Radio on AM, OK, Bluetooth streaming OK, digital, screen starts rebooting.

 

Hi Al, i have been having the same issue with the screen rebooting every 10 minutes , i thought maybe it was to do with apple releasing there new ios 14 but im not sure now as its happening to loads of you , I also went into my local garage and he says a software update should cure it ( im not sure if it will ) . 1.6 diesel flair 16 plate

Wow, I have the EXACT issue! Started on Wednesday evening, screen rebooting every 2/3 minutes. Had headlights on, DAB playing, BT connected, phone connected with USB cable, and also AirCon on. Will be out and about this weekend, so I'll try different scenarios.
