Touch Screen failure

Hey all my 2015 Citroen C4 Cactus has a screen issue.

One day I was driving and the screen suddenly switched off, heard the reboot noise and the screen never came back on. I checked the fuse that powers the screen and it has not blown, however changed it for good measure, I also checked the fuse of the smeg unit and this hadn't blown either but changed it for good measure as well. Alas the screen still doesnt work. I took it to a garage and their automotive electrician said the battery spiked and blew the screen, so I bought a new screen and fitted it myself, but still no fix. I took it back to the garage and told them to look at it, try the screens again etc. and they have said they can't figure out what is wrong with it, that their diagnostic machine says display failure when neither screen works.

For reference the buttons under the screen, locking, demister etc all work, it is literally just the screen that does not work.

Is there a hard reset for the screen, like press buttons for x amount of time? I have disconnected and reconnected the battery as well on the positive end, the negative end is not accessible according to the manual.

What can I do? The garage said my only option is taking it to Citroen but this I am certain will cost an arm and a leg and guarantees nothing.

is there a fuse inside the screen, on the motherboard. A lot of electronics have the main fuse, which you have changed. but there could be one in the unit of smaller amperage. But it is strange how both screens will not work. Might be worth looking for a local auto electrician, maybe a mobile auto electrician. There are a few companies that do screen changes and electrical work by post, might be worth giving one or two a bell and ask if they might have a chance at repair.

Hello consider options such as :

Software problems - There may be an error in the infotainment system software. Try resetting the system, which can be done by switching off the engine and then switching it back on.

Power - Check that the touchscreen is receiving power. If other media functions are working, this may not be the cause, but it is worth checking.

Cable connections -Problems with the cable connections between the screen and the system can cause unresponsiveness.

Software updates -Check if software updates are available for your multimedia system. Sometimes updates can resolve screen performance problems.

Component failure - It is possible that the touchscreen control unit is faulty.

Settings problems - Ensure that the display or touch settings have not been accidentally changed.

Well, that's as much as I can advise and suggest :)
